Obituary of Julijana (Julia) Sagadin
After a difficult illness, Julia passed away at Heritage Green Nursing Home, on January 26, 2023 in her 98th year. Predeceased by her beloved husband Maximilijan “Max”. Dear mother of Jossie and her husband Peter Verhovsek. Loved grandmother of Vili (Melissa) and Erni and great-grandmother of Ava. Predeceased by her daughter Miroslava, son Maximilijan and adopted daughter Vikica Sinigoj. She is survived by many relatives in Slovenia and Canada. Julia was a long and faithful member of the Catholic Women’s League (CWL). Friends will be received at the Donald V. Brown Funeral Home, 36 Lake Avenue Drive, Stoney Creek on Thursday from 4-6 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Gregory The Great Slovenian Church, Centennial Parkway and Delawana Drive, Hamilton on Friday, February 3, 2023 at 11 a.m.. Interment to follow at Our Lady of The Angels Cemetery. Donations to St. Gregory The Great Church would be appreciated by the family.
