It is with great sadness we announce the sudden passing of Julien Savoie, at the young age of 61, on November 15, 2024. Son of the late Roger and Rita Savoie. Brother of Ron and Mike Savoie. Father of Jesse and Stephanie Savoie. Widower of the late Jitske Janet Savoie.
Julien was born in Bathurst, New Brunswick, and spent his early life in Beresford and Neguac, New Brunswick. His family relocated to Chatham, Ontario to embark on a new life. Julien spent his formative years and adult life in the Chatham-Kent area. As a young man he found love with Mary Duckworth who he married. They later adopted two young children to raise as their own in Ridgetown.
Later in life he found love again with Jitske Janet Savoie with whom he spent 13 years with. They were married in June of 2014 and spent many years together before her sudden passing in June of 2021. Julien was stepfather to Janet’s adult children, Corrine, Tanya and Jason and grandfather many times over. Julien later moved back to Chatham where he resided by himself. After some time, he met Laura Bedard, whom he loved dearly, before her sudden passing in 2022.
Julien both revered and was a valued member of the Blenheim Christian Reformed Church. He was an avid volunteer and a beacon of the community. His faith, sociality, and willingness to be a continuous student led to a strong bond with the community.
Julien had a humorous personality and a love for sports, music, animals, biking, and family. He strived to make those around him laugh and always wished to do good for others. He truly had a heart of gold. Julien was a loving son, father, brother, and pepere, and will be missed by many.
