Obituary
HOWARD, Judy Joanne … passed away surrounded by her loving family on Thursday November 9th, 2023 at Lakeridge Health Oshawa at the age of 71 years. Beloved wife of Kenneth Howard for 48 years. Judy will be greatly missed by her daughter Karen Howard-Chun (Allan) and their children Sebastian & Isaac and her son David Howard (Jessica) and their children Devin & Elladora. Loving sister of Cecil Chestnut (Sherie) and sister-in-law of Ronald Howard (Linda). A loving aunt to Gregory Chestnut (Brianna), Michael Chestnut (Brittany), Jenny Howard and Anne Marie Howard. Predeceased by her parents Cecil & Jean Chestnut. Judy will be fondly remembered by her many extended family members, friends and neighbours.
Judy enjoyed cooking, baking and taking care of her family. Famous for her wonderful cookies, squares and Christmas treats, everyone felt her love especially during the holiday feast she loved to host. She would spend many hours on her patio, surrounded by her many beautiful flowers and gardens reading Danielle Steel and sneaking another piece of chocolate. She was loyal and honest and instilled those values in her family. Judy was a selfless person, always putting family and the care and welfare of others first. Above all she loved being a Mom and Nanny. The family extends their sincerest gratitude to all the staff of 4F Supportive Care at Lakeridge Health Oshawa for their gentle and compassionate care.
A graveside service will be held at Mt Evergreen Cemetery, Stockdale Rd., Trenton on Tuesday November 21st, 2023 at 1:00 PM, followed by a celebration of life at Weaver Family Funeral Home – East, 29 Bay St., Trenton from 2:00 to 4:00 pm.
