It is with heavy hearts that the family of the late Judy A. Rogers of Creston South announces her passing. Judy passed peacefully away at the Burin Peninsula Health Care Centre in Burin on Wednesday, January 31, 2024 at the age of 61.
Leaving to mourn with a lifetime of cherished memories are her husband, Bruce Rogers of 38 years; daughter, April Shears (Andrew) of Conception Bay South; son, Justin Rogers (Betsy Baker) of Creston South; grandchildren, Brooklyn, Violet and Maddox; mother, Matilda Sheppard of Bay L’Argent; sister, Colleen Sheppard (Jerome O’Keefe) of Holyrood; plus a large circle of extended family and friends.
Judy was predeceased by her father, James Sheppard; and parents-in-law, Walter & Jean Rogers.
Judy’s family would like to send a sincere thank you to her home support workers who have stayed closely by her side, and also the Nursing staff at the Burin Peninsula Health Care Center for their care, compassion and support.
In honoring her final wishes, cremation will take place, followed by a graveside service to be held in the spring.
In Judy’s memory, in-lieu of flowers donations may be made to The Burin Peninsula SPCA.
