In Loving memory of Judith Siiri Summers – October 21, 1948 – December 17, 2024.
It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, Judy Siiri Summers on December 17,2024 in her 77th year.
Judith was a source of light and love to all who knew her. As a mother she embodied unconditional love, selflessness and unwavering strength. She dedicated her life to raising her children with care, compassion and wisdom, leaving a lasting imprint on our hearts. Judith had a natural gift for making others feel special. Her laughter was infectious, her kindness boundless and her generosity unending. Whether she was offering a listening ear, preparing a meal for a loved one or volunteering in her community, she always gave of herself with grace and humility. Her passions were many; from painting, gardening, cooking, sewing to the simple joy of spending time with family. But above all, she cherished her role as mother and grandmother, finding joy in the lives of her children and grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her father, Henry William Winsa (1983), her mother, Pauline Mary Winsa (2010) and Her sister, Doreen Ann Blain (1987)
She is survived by her loving husband, Daniel Summers and by her children, Laurie Summers-Shannon (Scott), Eric Summers (Lori) and her grandchildren, Jacob Fram, Alexandra Fram, Rafaelle Summers, and Maya Summers. Judith leaves behind sisters, Eileen Williams (Al), Joan Fowler (James) and Patti Winsa (Paul) and all their children as well as other beloved family members and friends who were touched by her warmth and love,
There will be a visitation at Bayview Gardens Funeral Home, 947 Rymal Road East, Hamilton on Thursday December 19, from 1:00 to 4:00. A memorial service to honor her memory and celebrate the beautiful life she lived, will be held at St. Ann’s Roman Catholic Church, 11 Wilson Street, Ancaster on Friday, December 20 at 11:00 AM followed by interment.
The family of Judith would like to extend our thanks to the staff and volunteers of Margaret’s Place for their compassionate care, especially, Dr. Boyle, Shelly, Brianna, Dawn, Jen, Joni and all those that were special to her.
Flowers will not be received but donations would be greatly appreciated to St Joseph’s Villa Foundation – Margaret’s Place Hospice and Juravinski Cancer Research Centre. Please sign the online Book of Condolences at www.baygardens.ca
