Joyce Gordon Obituary
Joyce Gordon, beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and cherished aunt, peacefully passed away on December 12, 2023, surrounded by the love of her family. She is reunited in eternal peace with her husband, James, and her sisters, Iggy and Carmen.
She leaves behind a legacy of love carried on by her two devoted children, Ann-Marie (Tim) Patterson and Patrick (Cathy) Gordon, who were the pride and joy of her life. Her heart overflowed with love for her grandchildren, Andrew, Roisin, Patrick, Jason, and Quinn, whom she adored and accompanied on countless adventures, leaving behind a treasure trove of cherished memories.
Survived by her loving siblings, Mary, Dorothy, and Joe, and countless nieces and nephews, Joyce’s warmth, kindness, and generosity will forever resonate in their hearts.
Joyce’s unwavering faith and dedication were evident within her church community at St. John of the Cross Church in Meadowvale. Her commitment to her faith and her family was an inspiration to all who knew her.
The family extends their deepest gratitude to the exceptional care team at Allendale Long Term Care Facility, whose compassionate care and unwavering support provided Joyce with comfort and dignity during the last five years of her life.
Joyce will forever be remembered as a small but mighty powerhouse, her spirit and love leaving a profound mark on the lives she touched. Her laughter, guidance, and unwavering love will be profoundly missed but eternally cherished.
Joyce will be resting at McKersie & Early Funeral Home at 114 Main Street East in Milton Ontario.
Family and friends may visit Sunday December 17 from 2-4pm and 7-9pm.
A funeral mass will take place at St John of the Cross Catholic Church at 6890 Glen Erin Dr, Mississauga
on Monday December 18, 2023 at 12 pm.
Burial to take place following the mass at Evergreen Cemetery at 230 Ontario St S, Milton.
Luncheon to follow at Ned Devine’s Irish Pub – 575 Ontario St S, Milton.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Huntington Society of Canada would be gratefully appreciated as a tribute to Joyce’s memory.
