Obituary of Jovo Petrovic
Passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 27, 2024, at the age of 67 years.
Beloved husband of Mara for over 43 years. Loving father of Nemanja Petrovic and Jovana Petrovic, and cherished Deda to Malina, Mika, and Mina. Son of the late Nikola and Milica Petrovic. Survived by his sisters, Mara, Ðuka, Stana, and Mira, and many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his sister Radojka and brother Ðuro. The family would like to thank the staff at WRH Met Campus for their compassionate care.
Jovo’s greatest goal in life was to spend as much time as possible with his family, and he dedicated his life to making this a reality without complaint. A hardworking and honest man, he was deeply respected and loved. He had a wonderful sense of humor, always welcoming everyone with open arms and constantly encouraging someone to join him for a game of ping pong. He cherished time with his community and family, especially with his wife, children, and grandchildren.
Visitation will be held at Windsor Chapel Funeral Home – Banwell Location, 11677 Tecumseh Rd. E. (519-253-7235) on Wednesday, October 30, 2024, from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m., with prayers at 7:00 p.m. Family and friends are invited to gather at Gracanica Serbian Orthodox Church, 1960 Meldrum Rd., Windsor, on Thursday, October 31, 2024, for a visitation starting at 10:30 a.m. until the funeral service at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Windsor Memorial Cemetery.
