Obituary For Joshua Abraham Reimer
It is with heavy hearts that the family announces the unexpected passing of Joshua Abraham Reimer. Joshua, through the power of the Almighty God, was able to overcome every obstacle at his birth and survived even after the obstetrician declared there was no hope for him. Joshua learned to live with many physical challenges but applied himself diligently to his academics as well as his spiritual growth. Joshua had an infectious smile and a soft, caring heart that easily won the hearts of all those he met. There were few things that Joshua was so passionate about as his love for his Lord and Saviour. Joshua prayed fervently and consistently for the salvation of the lost, especially those near to him.
Joshua’s love language was very clearly quality time, and he especially loved playing card games with family and friends. He also enjoyed woodcarving creative gifts for his loved ones and spending every spare moment outdoors riding bikes, playing yard games, learning new farm equipment, riding ATVs, or just hanging out with his younger brother Walter. Joshua excelled in his education and was a grade ahead of his age group being ready to enter high school this fall, at the young age of thirteen.
Joshua will be missed dearly by his parents Rick and Helen Reimer; brothers Richard Reimer and Walter Reimer; sisters Marie Peters and her husband Ben; Rachel Reimer; Katie Reimer and her husband Joey; and Ruth Reimer; two nephews and four nieces; paternal grandparents Diedrich and Helen Reimer; maternal grandmother Elena Hildebrandt; as well as many aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was predeceased by his maternal grandfather Abram Hildebrandt.
Joshua’s funeral will be held at the Mountview Bible Fellowship on August 13, 2023, at 2 PM.
Joshua’s favourite verse was Proverbs 35-b, “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him and he will make straight your paths”.
