It is with the heaviest of hearts that we announce the passing, on Tuesday, July 30, 2024 at the age of 71, of an amazing husband, father and brother who left us far too soon. Beloved husband of Michelle (Lochead) predeceased by his parents, (Aline and Fernand) and brother Roch. Guy will be deeply missed by his children Michelle and David, grandson Harley, his brother Paul (Cathie Nolan), his sisters Marie-Andrée (Hal Horwood), Lise, Francine, Suzanne (André Boudreau) and Renée (Allan Chabassol), his many nieces and nephews, and his beloved dogs, Trixie and Rambo.
Born on August 12, 1952 in Ottawa, Warrant Officer JFG Gouin enrolled in the Canadian Forces Medical Service in 1972. Guy’s postings included 1 Field Ambulance, CFB Calgary; the Royal Canadian Dragoons, Lahr, Germany; 1st Battalion, Royal 22e Regiment; CFB Valcartier Base Hospital; and 2 Field Ambulance. Guy served for 26 years. After his retirement, he continued to work in the medical field, providing onsite medical support to numerous mines in northern Ontario and Siberia.
Guy was a true animal lover and an avid motorcyclist, owning many cars and motorcycles throughout his life. Above all else, Guy will be remembered for his open, friendly demeanor, generosity, compassion, and sense of humour.
As per his wishes, Guy will be buried with his parents and brother Roch at St. Joseph Cemetery in Orleans, Ontario at a later date.
As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family.

After trying several times over the past 2 years to find my old buddy Guy, I accidentally discover late last night this obituary and needless to say, I became super sad and speechless for several hours. His oldest friend 1960 CFB Bagotville wish to express my sincere sympathies to all the remaining family members ,Marie-Andre, Lise, Paul, Francine Suzanne and Renée. Guy’s fantastic family, including MOM, DAD and Roch will always remain forever in my heart.. Rest in peace buddy and I am sure we will soon see each other again.
