Jordan Denny-Augustine – 30, Millbrook. It is with
tremendous sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Jordan
Denny-Augustine on Saturday, December 30, 2023. He will be forever
missed by his partner, Jessica Wentzell, the love of his
life.
Jordan was a man that loved laughter, and boy was his laugh
contagious. He loved hanging out with his friends, was always cracking
jokes, and he could tell a story and remember details of events that
made you laugh so hard your belly hurt. He was just a genuinely great
guy who loved his family and friends. He was so proud to be
Mi’kmaw and loved his culture so much, as well as his home
of Millbrook First Nation (Millionbrook) «say that one»! He
was employed with Millbrook First Nation Public Safety Security Team
for Millbrook Band Office for the past several years.
Jordan was the son of Shirley Denny, Millbrook and Joseph
(John) Augustine (Kim), Truro and is survived by
his siblings, Tamara (Matt), Millbrook; Garrett (Cheyenne), Millbrook;
Jasmine (Logan), Katelyn, Brittany (Adam), all of Truro; paternal
grandfather, Noel Augustine (Elsie), Burnt Church; nephew, Darien
(Laura); nieces, Kiara, Shayla, Kail, all of Millbrook, great nieces,
Tayla, Paqtnkek, Ella, Truro; great nephews, Ashton and Emmett,
Truro.
He will be missed by his aunts, Marlene (Uncle Jack),
Millbrook; Beverley, Coaticook; Bernadette, Millbrook; Gail (Darren),
Eskasoni; Karen, Dartmouth; uncles, Joe (Nellie), Eskasoni; James
(Penny), Truro; Elvis, Charles, Burnt Church; Michael
«Beev», Millbrook.
He is also survived by his Godmother, Darlene Kennedy,
Millbrook; Godfather, Dennis Gloade, Millbrook; Godchildren, Kiara,
Haley, Aubrey, Zander, Kaiden, Aliyah, Zylen.
Jordan was predeceased by his sister, Adria Marie Gloade;
niece, Jemma Aerie Marshall; maternal grandparents, John S. Denny and
Rita Prosper; paternal grandmother, Theresa Sylliboy; uncles, Robert,
Lester, Kevin; aunts, Muriel, Eleanor, Tammy, Kelly,
Karla.
Lastly his Coach Road Crew, all his friends (you know who you
are), and all of Millbrook will miss him tremendously.
Jordan will be resting at 119 Coach Road, Millbrook First
Nation from 7 p.m., Saturday January 6, 2024 until the his service,
which will be held 11 a.m., Monday January 8, 2024, at Sacred Heart
Roman Catholic Church, Millbrook. Interment at a later
date.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Mattatall – Varner
Funeral Home, 55 Young Street, Truro. Tributes, words of comfort and
