WHITE – John “Jack” Henry of Talbotville, son of the late Gordon and Annie White, passed away at the St Thomas-Elgin General Hospital on Thursday, January 5, 2023 in his 94th year. Survived by his loving wife Elaine White; dear father and father-in-law of Joanne and Jon White of Port Stanley. Cherished grandpa of Carley (Bob) of Port Stanley and Megan (Zana) of Vancouver, BC; and many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his sisters Janet Munro, Mary McKellar, Annabelle Mathers and brother Robert White. John was born in Brooke Township. He was a long time employee at Northern Telecom. Jack, Elaine and their daughter Joanne raised champion Afghan Hounds and Champion Skye Terrier dogs for over twenty years. Cremation has taken place. Arrangements entrusted to the Shawn Jackson Funeral Home 31 Elgin Street, St. Thomas (519-631-0570). As per Jack’s wishes there will be no funeral services. A private interment of ashes will be held in Elmdale Cemetery at a later date. If desired, donations to the St Thomas-Elgin General Hospital Foundation – D Unit would be appreciated.
