Obituary of John James MacDonald
John James «Jackie» MacDonald, 77, of Plymouth passed away, Tuesday December 17, 2024, in the Aberdeen hospital, New Glasgow.
Born in New Glasgow, he was the son of the late Clarence Seymore and Florence Margaret (MacKenzie) MacDonald.
John worked 33 years for Northern Pulp and after retirement; he and Ruth liked to travel to Dominican Republic. John enjoyed a quiet life at home with his family, he spent many hours discovering old black and white westerns on youtube. John was a kind, helpful man; always willing to help when someone needed it. John loved to watch boxing; his favorite was Manny Pacquiao.
Surviving are his loving wife of 26 years, Ruth Diane MacDonald, Plymouth; sons, Adam, Plymouth; and John, MacLellan’s brook; grandchildren, Rogan and Chloe.
In honour of John’s wishes his family will celebrate his life privately.
