Obituary of John Gallagher
GALLAGHER, John – Peacefully with his family by his side, John died at home on Thursday, July 25, 2024, at the age of 78. Beloved husband of Susan (nee Banville). Loving father of Tim Gallagher (Cary), Edmonton, Dan Gallagher (Jenn), Fort Murray and Shane Gallagher (Candice) Sarnia. Cherished Papa of Brittany Silveira (Andrew), Strathroy, Emma & Lily Gallagher, Fort McMurray, Melanie & Ryann, Edmonton Step-Papa of Zoe Cawthray-White and Aidan Cawthray, Sarnia. Proud great Papa Johnny of Melani & Mateo & Julianna Silveira. Dear brother of Charlie (Ann) Gallagher, Hughie Gallagher (Georgia), Eddie Gallagher, Michael Gallagher, Liz Gallagher, Kathleen Gallagher, Patricia O’Sullivan (Jim), Josephine Bradley (Frank) and Susan Lawrence (Ralph). Brother-in-law of Dennis Banville (Barb), Paul Banville (Colleen), Eva Razeau (Jim), Linda Hartt (Stephen) and Lucy Banville-Kloepher (Mike). Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents Ned & Elizabeth Gallagher.
John was an insulator with Local 95 for many years. He loved to read, walk and work in his vegetable garden.
Cremation has taken place and a private interment will take place at Resurrection Cemetery.
