Peacefully at Miramichi Lodge, with his family by his side, on Sunday November 10, 2024 in his 90th year. John O’Connor of Pembroke beloved husband of Erma O’Connor (nee Hammel). Loved father of Barry O’Connor (Julie Cristiano), Eganville, David O’Connor (Manon), Micksburg, Dean O’Connor (Kim), Toronto and Todd O’Connor (Dianne), Petawawa. Loving grandfather to Ivan, Chantal, Brittany, Josh, Tyson and great grandchildren Mason, Tommy and Claire. Dear brother of Lorraine Strelesky (late Frank) and predeceased by his brother Patrick and sisters Mary Cassidy and Eunice Foy. Sadly missed by his nieces and nephews. Son of the late Tom and Betty O’Connor.
Friends are invited to share their memories of John with his family during visitation at the Murphy Funeral Home 296 Isabella Street, Pembroke on Thursday November 21st from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday November 21st at 1:00 p.m. in St. Peter’s Lutheran Church 533 Borne Road, Pembroke. Interment St. Peter’s Cemetery.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to all the staff at Miramichi Lodge for the kind and compassionate care shown to John and his family during his stay there.
