John I. Kordos
May 16, 1927 – August 24, 2024
John I. Kordos, 97 years, passed peacefully at home in the early morning hours of Saturday, August 24, 2024.
Predeceased by wife Sarah (nee McLeod) (2021), son Martin (2018) and grandson Matthew (2019).
Beloved father of Anna, John (Leana), Suzy (late Steven Lutes 2020) and David, loving grandfather to John (Daniela), Sarah, Leah (Cameron), Alan, Alyssa, Shawn, Megan (Isaiah) and great grandfather of newest addition Rainee, brother in law of Marie Kordos and Ian Hennessy.
John was born in Valca, Slovakia. He is reunited with his loving parents John and Anna (nee Kuss) and his siblings Joseph (late Suzanna), Alfred, Anna, Mary and Ladislav whom he lovingly called Ladino, and many cherished family and friends in Canada, USA and Slovakia.
John was a proud member of CAW Local 444 and a retired employee of Chrysler Canada.
Many thanks and appreciation to John’s dedicated doctors at WFHC and Windsor Hospice, Dr. Matthew Ouellette and Dr. Sheri Bergeron, Bayshore and St. Elizabeth’s, Mike, Joe, Bob, Brenda, Samantha, Esther, Hazael and many more angels that graced our door, you know who you are, many thanks indeed.
Cremation has taken place as per John’s request, a celebration of life at a later date.
