JEDRIAK, Johnny Peter (May 19th, 1960 – June 17th, 2023)
Welcomed Home by his Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ, after a courageous struggle with illness, “John” Johnny Peter Jedriak, passed away at VON – Sakura House, Woodstock in the loving arms of his wife Patty, on June 17th, 2023, at the age of 63. John was raised in Port Burwell by his father Edward Jedriak and his mother Karolina Horvath. John was a resident of Brownsville Rd., Tillsonburg. John was employed with East Elgin Concrete Forming, as the Site Supervisor of the Marine Division. John was an avid hunter, fisherman, gardener, and he was the happiest when he was outside and immersed in nature. John enjoyed watching sports and was a fan of all teams Boston including the Bruins, Patriots, Red Sox, and Celtics and he went and watched them live on a few occasions in Toronto and elsewhere. John was an avid NASCAR fan as well and he and Patty enjoyed attending many races with their NASCAR family. John is survived by his much-loved wife and best friend of 39 years, Patty (Brooks) Jedriak. Loved and loving father of: Candice (Chris Cowper), of Ridgeway; Justin Jedriak, of Tillsonburg. Much loved brother of: David Jedriak, Edward Jedriak, Cashmira Nixon; Philomena Langford; Marlene Barrington; Jeanie Jedriak and by his sister-in-law Karen Brooks. Predeceased by his brother Jerry Jedriak and sister Christine Moore.
Friends, neighbours, and relatives are welcome to attend a public visitation on Saturday, June 24th, 2023, between 11:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. in the Maurice J. Verhoeve Funeral Homes Chapel, 262 Broadway, Tillsonburg. A complete funeral service to celebrate John’s life will follow at 1:00 p.m., by Pastor Ted Smith, of Courtland United Church. Cremation follows the funeral service. Patty and the family have requested for memorial donations to the “CNS Foundation” (by cheque, to benefit Care Partners), or to “VON Oxford” (to benefit Sakura House Hospice) via John’s online tribute page at www.verhoevefuneralhomes.com, where you can also send flowers, contribute letters of condolences and share favourite memories.
