It is with great sadness that we announce the quick but peaceful passing of John (Jack) Dunn at the age of 92.
John came from Scotland in 1964 where he raised his family in Weston, Ontario. Later on in life he moved to Orangeville and then Guelph before residing at the Caressant Care Nursing and Retirement Home in Fergus, Ontario for the past two years.
John was a loving, caring and sincere father, father-in-law, grandpa and great-grandpa (GG). He had an infectious smile that would warm your heart when you saw him. This was a man whom saw the best in everyone. With a very kind and gentle soul he made everyone feel like his friend.
He leaves behind his children Andrew (Joanne) Dunn, Jackie (Greg) Nelson and Alister Dunn. His grandchildren Cassandra (Ryan), Cheryl (Jeff), Cameron, Zoe (Rafa) and his great grandchildren Briella, Cole and Vera. He is predeceased by his wife Josephene, sisters Lila, Nan, Mary and brother James.
John loved to refurbish computers in his spare time after he retired from Control Data Corp. He always looked forward to watching Golf in the summer and Hockey in the winter. His favourite sport though was watching his favourite team Manchester United in the premiere soccer league.
We will miss you and hold you in our hearts always, John (dad), (grandpa) and (GG). Until we meet again one day. With love forever.
A celebration of life will be at a later date with the immediate family.
