With broken hearts the family of John Guy LeBlanc announce his passing at the Saint John Regional Hospital on Friday, April 28th, 2023, at the age of 78. An amazing husband, father, grandfather, brother & friend. John was born in Bronson, N.B on June 19th, 1944, the son of the late Phyllis (LeBlanc) & Lorne Wilson (stepfather).
He is survived by his wife, Brenda LeBlanc (Steeves), Children; Troy, Shauntell (Skylar), Jason (Natalie), Jamie (Melanie). Grampy John is also survived by grandchildren Taylor, Breanna, Brooklyn, Khloe & Jayden. Brothers Ken, Pat (Andi), Chester; sister Colette, as well as several nieces & nephews.
He is pre-deceased by stepfather Lorne, mother Phyllis, sister Donna, and brother Tim.
He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting, fishing, snowshoeing & growing vegetables in the garden. Over the years our Dad has had many jobs including master mechanic in the mines, tree-thinning & forestry equipment owner (Porters). In his most recent years, he took so much pride bear-guiding at Salmon River Bend Outfitters for Hal & Janet Kilfillen. He had such a special place in his heart for them, the Lodge and all the hunters he helped guide.
He loved to tinker with everything from lawn-mowers, snow-blowers, cars and so much more. He will be lovingly remembered as a kind, compassionate, hard-working, genuine man who always had a smile on his face & a cute remark/joke!
At Johns request there will be no visitation or funeral. We will be having a casual celebration of life at the Salmon River Bend Outfitters Lodge at 2680 Route 116, on Saturday, May 6th, 2023, at 2pm. This will be a chance for family to receive friends & reminisce about the wonderful, amazing life that John lived. We would love it so much if you could share a story with us of the good times you had with him that we can cherish.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the NB SPCA, or Saint John Reginal Hospital Palliative Care Unit. We would also like to encourage all who are eligible to donate blood in John’s honor, this gift of life has made a difference in John’s life over the last month.
Arrangements are in the compassionate care of Chipman Funeral Home & Crematorium (506-339-6612). Memories and condolences may be shared through www.chipmanfuneralhome.ca.
