John passed away peacefully on August 8, 2024, at the age of 72, surrounded by his loving family. Loving husband of Angie (nee Rosati) for 50 years. Much loved father of Kimberley, Dana Paun and husband Warren, and Christopher. Cherished Tatone of Jakob and Benjamin Field, Liam and Addyson Paun. Survived by his siblings, Lena and husband Michael DeMarco, Bruno and wife Marceline, Dario and wife Jacquelyn, Silvana Capaldi and Mike Shea, Fabian, and predeceased by Tony (survived by his wife Margaret). Also predeceased by his parents, Attilio and Gaetana and his mother-in-law and father-in-law, Assunta and Donato Rosati. Dear brother-in-law of Tony Rosati and wife Betty, Rocco Rosati, Albert Rosati, and predeceased by Anna Iacavone and husband Donato, and Gino Rosati. John will be forever remembered by many nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.
John retired from Chrysler Canada after 37 years. John enjoyed gardening and harvesting vegetables, his tractor, woodworking and travelling. Above all, John loved his family dearly and cherished his wife and his involvement with his children and grandchildren, supporting them always in sports, work and school. Without question, he was their biggest fan. John had a kind heart and showed his love and attention through his quick wit and jovial gestures.
If you so desire, donations to Windsor/Es Cancer Foundation would be appreciated by the family. Visitation Tuesday, August 13, 2024 from 2:00 p.m.-4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m.-8:00 p.m. Parish Prayers at 6:00 p.m.
On Wednesday, August 14, 2024, friends are invited to gather with the family at Families First, Amherstburg, 585 Sandwich Street (519-969-5841) from 9:30 a.m. until leaving in procession at 10:15 a.m. for a Funeral Mass at 11:00 a.m., with Words of Remembrance at 10:45 a.m. at St. Joseph Church, River Canard, 9399 North Townline Road, Amherstburg.
Entombment to follow at St. John the Baptist Cemetery.
