We sadly announce the passing of John Byron Bannon A.K.A. John B., on Sunday, January 7, 2024, at the age of 63 years.
John was born June 13, 1960, on the FWFN. He is survived by his children John Jr. and Ashley, grandchildren Nevaeh and Jaylyn, stepdaughter Amanda, sisters Shirley and Roberta (Jeff), numerous aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents Jean (Shorty) McCooeye and Marvin Bannon, brother-in-law Kenny, as well as numerous aunts and uncles.
Funeral services for John will be held on Tuesday, January 23, 2024, in St. Anne’s Mission Church, FWFN at 11:00 am, celebrated by Rev. Gerald MacDougall s.j. Interment to follow in the Immaculate Conception Cemetery. Visitation for family and friends will be held Monday evening from 5:00 pm to 6:30 pm at St. Anne’s Mission Church with Vigil Prayers being offered at 6:30 pm. Arrangements entrusted to the Blake Funeral Chapel, 200 May Street S.
