It is with broken hearts that the family of the late Joan Power of Marystown announces her passing.
Joan passed away at the Burin Peninsula Health Care Centre in Burin on Wednesday, May 10th, 2023, at the age of 83.
Leaving to mourn with a lifetime of wonderful memories are her sons, Karl Power (Marcy) of Edmonton, AB, Derrick Power (Colleen) of Bay Bulls, Trevor Power (Angela) of Dartmouth, NS, and Troy Power (Kim) of Dartmouth, NS; daughter, Jackie Osmond (Jeff) of Edmonton, AB; grandchildren, Gary Osmond (Leeann), Natasha Norman (Wade), Kaetlyn Osmond (Justin), Dawson Power, Marissa Power (Kaleb), Brandon Power (Mariah), Cameron Power, Amber Power (Tyler), Dante Power, Teagan Power (Jordon), Blake Power (Leah); great grandchildren, Nadia, Owen, Callie, Jayden, Aliyah, Neveah, Carter, and Noah; sister, Sharon Walsh of Marystown; sisters-in-law, Margaret Spencer of Marystown, and Doreen Spencer of Burin; nieces, Sadie Pardy (Les), Vera Dicks (Charles), and Nellie Collins (Ivan); God daughter, Jennifer Shave (George); plus a large circle of blended family, grandchildren, great grandchildren, relatives and friends.
Joan was predeceased by her son, Moses Power Jr.; parents, Vincent and Maryann Spencer; brothers, Arch Spencer, Vince Spencer (Sheila), Lee Spencer; sisters, Jean Dober (Lar), Kate Collins (Gus), Sade Kelly (Kevin); brother-in-law, Walter Walsh.
The Power Family will be accepting visitors at Wiseman’s Funeral Home – Marystown on
Thursday, May 11th from 7:00pm to 9:00pm
Friday, May 12th from 10:00am – 12:00pm, 2:00pm – 4:00pm, and 7:00 – 9:00pm and
Saturday, May 13th from 9:30am – 11:30am.
Mass of Christian Burial will take place at Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church Marystown on
Saturday, May 13th at 1:00 pm.
Interment to follow at Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Cemetery – Marystown.
In Joan’s memory , in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Daffodil Place.
Funeral arrangements entrusted to the care of Wiseman’s Funeral Homes – Marystown.
