John “Jim” Stevens entered into rest at Ross Memorial Hospital on Wednesday, October 16, 2024 in his 91st year. Jim is the beloved wife of the late Bev (nee Cowen) with over 60 years of marriage. Proud and loving dad of the late Susan Myra May (1959), Marilyn Hayford (the late Dave), Faye, Jim, and Shelley Stevens. Loving Grampa of Tanya, Sarah, Dave (Sydney) and Vanilla. Great Grandpa of Graham, Cait and Charlotte. Dear father-in-law to Greg Loney. Dear brother of Margaret Locke (the late John) and Charlie Stevens (Ev) and sister-in-law. Predeceased by his sisters and brothers, Ben Stevens (Rhona), Betty Barabulea, Evelyn (Alwin) English and Arthur, Dear brother-in-law of the late Lewis Cowen (Sheron), Murray Cowen (Katheryn), Keith Cowen (Sheila) and predeceased by Bruce Cowen (survived by Pat). Jim will be missed by his many nieces, nephews and friends. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 22 from 11:00am until time of service at 1:00pm at Mackey Funeral Home, 33 Peel Street, Lindsay. Interment to follow at Riverside Cemetery, Lindsay. There will be a reception held after the interment at Cambrige Street Baptist Church. Memorial donations may be made to the Kawartha Lakes Food Source or Cambridge Street Baptist Church. Donations may be made by cheque through the funeral home or online.
