Jim Morgan – age 97 of Mascot passed away on Saturday, November 4, 2023. Member of New Antioch Missionary Baptist Church. Jim valued his faith above all else and loved his church and Jesus.
Preceded in death by beloved wife of 65 years, Dorothy Louise Morgan; parents, Noah Dan and Jodie Ann Morgan; son-in-law, Stanley Hickman; grandson, Scott Evans; brother, Albert Morgan; and sisters, Louise Lawson and Ruby Beeler.
Survived by daughters, Lorine Lawson and Vivian Hickman; grandchildren, Lori Turpin, Jason Cole and Chris Lawson; great-grandchildren, Brandi (Will) Russell, Courtney (Dustin) Humphrey, Morgan (Dylan) Sherrod, Mason (Caitlin) Foster, Madi (Mason) McSpadden, Taylee Evans, Mya Foster, Zachary (Alison) Cole; great great grandchildren, Dalton, Dakota, Nash, Harper, Averie, Kinsley, Brystol, Ellie June; and “Bestest” friend, Donna Roach.
The family will receive friends 5:00-7:00 PM Wednesday, November 8, 2023, at Bridges Funeral Home followed by the funeral service at 7:00 PM with Pastor Jimmy Sharp, Jr. officiating. Service may viewed securely on the Bridges Funeral Home website. Family and friends will meet 12:15 PM Thursday at Bridges Funeral Home and go in procession to Roseberry Cemetery for a 1:00 PM interment. Pallbearers: Will Russell, Mason Foster, Mason McSpadden, Dylan Sherrod, Dustin Humphrey, and Dalton Humphrey.
