Jim Hesselink
of Moorefield passed away suddenly at the Palmerston and District Hospital on Monday, April 24, 2023 at the age of 55. Beloved husband of Beth for 23 years. Cherished father of Jaimi, Jessie, Jocelyn and Ben. Dearly loved son of Bert and Mary Hesselink. Loved brother of Rose and Allan Clemens, Kim and Rob Hobelman and Gerald and Alida Hesselink. Son-in-law of Jack and Susan Hotchkiss. Brother-in-law of Barb and Neil Driscoll and Bonnie and Brad McBeth. Fondly remembered uncle of Alisa, Blaine, Cassandra, Madisonne (Ben) and Jadenne, Tate, Jack, Clare, Peyton, Brody and Reed. His contagious laughter will be missed by his many friends. Jim worked and played hard, enjoying life to the fullest.
The family will receive friends at the Moorefield Community Centre, 15 Ball Ave. Moorefield on Wednesday, April 26, 2023 from 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.
There will be a tractor convoy in memory of Jim on Thursday, April 27, 2023 staging at 6:00 p.m., leaving at 7:00 p.m. from 7153 Sideroad 12, Moorefield and ending at the Moorefield Community Centre.
A casual Celebration of life will be held in the Moorefield Community Centre, on Thursday, April 27, 2023 from 7:30 to 10:00 p.m. with a time of sharing memories at 8:30 p.m.
Private family service followed by interment in Bethesda Cemetery.
As expressions of sympathy, donations to a trust fund for Jim’s children would be appreciated by the family, cheques can be made payable to Barb Driscoll.
