Jill Elizabeth Cunningham (Née Whitebread)
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Jill at the age of 84 at Kingston General Hospital on April 4th, 2023. Jill was born in Higham, Kent, England and immigrated to Canada with her Mother in 1957. Jill is survived by her husband John Alexander after almost 63 years of marriage. Her greatest pride and joy in life were her three sons: Adrian (Stella) of Brampton, Michael of Trenton/Etobicoke and Peter (Anne-Marie) of Wooler. She also cared deeply for her granddaughter Carolina & husband Alex, great-granddaughter Emma and grandson Christian. She will be lovingly remembered by her sister Daphne and her sister-in-law Audrey as well as her many nieces and nephews. She is pre-deceased by her parents, her brother Peter and her sister Ann. Mum could knit or crochet anything you wanted made at the drop of a dime, while whipping up a batch of sausage rolls and dinner for all of us at the same time. However, she never missed an episode of Coronation Street; forever true to her English roots. Donations in lieu of flowers to the Kingston Health Sciences Foundation, the Trenton Memorial Hospital Foundation or the Heart & Stroke Foundation in Jill’s honor would be appreciated by the family. Special thanks to her PSWs, Nurses and other Homecare workers as well as the staff at both Trenton and Kingston Hospitals for their compassionate care and support. Friends and Family are invited to share memories of Jill on Saturday, April 15th from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm at the Trent Port Marina, 15 Creswell Drive, Trenton, ON, K8V 6X5.
