Jennifer Skene May 4/75 – Oct 28/23
On Saturday, October 28 we had to say goodbye to our beautiful daughter/stepdaughter and sister. She was a woman of extraordinary strength who never gave up her fight for life. Gone too soon, she is sadly missed by her parents/stepparents- her mom, Carolyn Thomas (Frank), dad, Glen Skene (Carolyn) as well as her beloved brother, Darrin, and his wife Lisa.
Also adored by her step siblings, Jen (Rob) Webb, Ted (Michelle) Thomas, Kim (John) McNamara, Steve (Fil) Thomas, Luke (John) Reid and Jess Reid.
Jen was especially close to her nieces Isabella and Addison Skene who live nearby, but enjoyed being with other nieces and nephews, Tanner, Mikenna, Nolan, Nicholas, Clare and Marlee.
She had a great relationship with her aunts and uncles, Denise Bilanzola (Pete Hebner), Madelene (Ross) Robinson, Jack (Dianne) Brill, Mike (Cyndy) Gilbert, Tom (Jocelyn) Gilbert, Sharon Thomas, Les (Bonnie) Thomas, David Boyd (Sharon O’Neill) as well as Gloria McCrae. Left behind, but not forgotten, are several wonderful cousins on both sides of the family.
Jennifer had an amazing sense of humour! She had many friends she saw daily at the Y and chatted with so many others on Facebook and Instagram. Her special friends Kelly, Melissa and Connie will never forget her. We all loved her so much!
Jennifer loved animals so dearly! Jackson, her golden lab, was her beloved companion for many years.
Therefore, in lieu of flowers, we feel that she would have preferred you make any donations to either the Owen Sound Animal Shelter or Diabetes Canada. Online condolences can be sent to Jennifer’s family by visiting her memorial at www.woodfuneralhome.ca.
A celebration of her life will be held at the Brian E. Wood Funeral Home, 250 14th St. W., Owen Sound, 519-376-7492, on Sunday November 12, 2023, from 1 p.m. – 3 p.m. All are welcome to mingle and share memories.
