BRANDON, Jeffrey “Jeff” Peter
Passed away suddenly as a result of a motor vehicle accident on Wednesday, March 13, 2024 at the age of 58 years. Much loved husband of Karen Brandon (Diemert). Proud dad of Stephanie and Mitchell both at home. Beloved son of Dolly Brandon and the late Glenn Brandon. Dear brother of Sharon, Heather, Lois (Steve Nielsen), Terry, Jay (Peter Denomme) and Shelley. Jeff will be fondly remembered by his mother in-law June Diemert, many cousins, nieces, nephews, and dear friends.
In Karen’s words… Jeff was a good man from the moment I met him. He wasn’t perfect, but he was a good man, he loved his family and cherished his friends. He was very close with my parents and they treated him like a son. He would do anything for them, he loved my mom and dad as much as they loved him.
Jeff’s favourite times of year were deer season and our Christmas mornings. He would get excited months before deer season. He loved that he got to hang out with his closest friends and do what he loved to do (hunting) with them and hanging out at deer camp (our shed) after a days hunt. We spent our Christmases playing games on Christmas eve, and up early Christmas morning from the day the kids were born, to watch them open a mound of presents then prepare the house for his big Christmas with all his sisters.
Jeff loved his sisters. He always had wild stories from their childhood and loved it when they reminisced about it at holiday gatherings. He often mentioned he liked how close they remained throughout the years and happy they still all got together for all holidays.
Jeff was an amazing husband and father. He loved us and would do anything for any of us and his friends.
We didn’t always agree on everything but we were a very close family. He always made time for our family. It was the most important thing to the four of us. We loved our game nights with Steph and Mitch.
We just took him out for his birthday last week. I told the waitress it was his birthday and shortly after we heard the staff singing happy birthday to another table and he was joking around that they better not do that to him. They didn’t, just brought him a brownie and ice cream but it was fun teasing him.
There is a huge empty hole in our hearts and lives that I’m not sure we can ever heal from. He did everything for us. We never got to say good bye and that we loved him and that’s the hardest part.
We always kidded around that we would grow old together. We thought we might become snowbirds when we retired. Jeff hated winter. Jeff was my rock, my love, my everything. We would have been married 35 years this June. I will miss you my love every day. I won’t say goodbye only until we can be together again.
The family will greet friends at Falconer Funeral Homes, 153 High Street Clinton on Saturday, March 23, 2024 from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. A celebration of Jeff’s life will take place on March 30, 2024 from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. at the Huron Fish and Game Club in Clinton.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Ontario Federation of Anglers and Hunters would be appreciated. Messages of condolence for Jeff’s family are welcomed at www.falconerfuneralhomes.com
