GOSS, Jeffery Wayne. Jeff passed away peacefully at the Welland Hospital with Yvette holding his hand, on Thursday, December 5th, 2024. Predeceased by parents Raymond and Helen and by his brother, Neil. Jeff will be dearly missed by his sister, Sue (Bob), nieces and nephews Lindsey (Brandon), Bryce (Lindsay), Terri (Vince), Samantha and Connor. He will also be missed by his great niece and nephew, Aislyn and Morgan and his dear friends, Yvette and Candace.
Jeff worked for many years as a rehabilitation facilitator at Community Living, Head Injury Rehabilitation Ontario (formerly B.I.S.H.) and Banyan, where he changed lives and made many friends along the way. He will be remembered for his laugh, his voice and his great bear hugs. Jeff had a great presence and could change the aura of the room just by walking in. He was a devoted fan of the Grateful Dead and even followed them for a year as a Dead Head. Jeff was also an accomplished writer and a published poet.
Friends are invited to join the family on Tuesday December 17th at H.L. Cudney Funeral Home, 241 West Main Street, Welland. Visitation is from 11am-1pm followed by a service in the chapel at 1pm. In keeping with Jeff’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A private family internment will take place at a later date.
