1938-2023
Jeannita McDonald, 85, of Bouctouche, passed away peacefully,
surrounded by her family, at the Manoir Saint-Jean-Baptiste, on Sunday
October 29, 2023. She was married to the late Ronald McDonald (2022)
for 64 years. Born in Bouctouche, she was the daughter of the late
Roméo and the late Anna (Allain) Saulnier.
She will be sadly missed by her children: Diane McDonald, Charles
(Marie-Mai), both of Bouctouche, her granddaughters: Sylvie, Monique,
Lynn, and her great grandsons: Patrick, Yanick, Shawn and Rémi.
She also leaves to mourn her sisters: Rita LeBlanc (late William) of
Clinton, MA, Jeannine Girouard (Oscar) of Lancaster, MA, her brothers:
Raoul (Angela), Léo (Louise) both of Bouctouche, her
daughter-in-law, Dianne and several nieces and nephews.
Jeannita was predeceased by one daughter, Marie in infancy, one son,
Gilles (2019), one sister, Rose-May and two brothers: Normand and
Léo.
Visitations will be held at the Maillet Funeral Home, 29 rue de
l’église, Bouctouche, on Thursday November 2, 2023 from
7:00pm to 9:00pm and on Friday from 9:30am to 10:45 am. The Funeral
Mass will be held in the Saint-Jean-Baptiste Church, Bouctouche, on
Friday November 3, 2023 at 11:00am.
In Jeannita’s memory a donation can be made to the Manoir
Saint-Jean-Baptiste «activities residents».
The family would like to say a special thank you to Dr Ronald
Fontaine, the staff of the Stella-Maris-de-Kent Hospital and the
Manoir Saint-Jean-Baptiste for the excellent care provided to
Jeannita.
