Mitik, Jeannette Maria (October 15, 1933 – November 12, 2024)
Passed away, peacefully on Monday, November 12th, 2024, at Maple Manor Long Term Care, Tillsonburg, Jeannette Maria (Le Heinsworth) Mitik, a resident of Tillsonburg and formerly of Simcoe, at the age of 91. Born in Halifax, Nova Scotia. Jeanette and Frank have been residents of Hickory Hills, Tillsonburg for over 29 years. Jeanette was a former secretary at Dominion Life, Kitchener- Waterloo. She was an adherent to the United Church of Canada.
Much loved wife of 71 years of Frank Mitik. Loved mother of Markum John Bingham, of Vancouver, B.C. Survived by a stepsister Michelle Le Heinsworth, of England, as well as by nieces, nephews and cousins. Also survived by her nieces and their families: Sharon (Larry Davies), of Tillsonburg; Crystal, of Tillsonburg; Carrie, of St. Thomas; Jennifer, Kimberly, Shelley, all of North Bay. Predeceased by her parents: Gregory Le Heinsworth and the former Alice Carter. Predeceased by her son James Stephen Bingham (1993), as well as by all of her siblings Gordon, Courtney, Ronald, Kenneth and Rosemarie.
In keeping with Jeanette’s expressed wishes cremation has taken place. There will be neither funeral home visitation nor a funeral service. Inturment to take place in the Tillsonburg Cemetery Columbarium.
