Jeanette, daughter of immigrant parents Mary and Louis Francis, and the youngest of six learned about the ethics of hard work and determination at an early age by working at the family grocery store. Mom taught us how to engage with others both in family and business. The values that our parents instilled in us centred on love, family, respect for one another, and hard work. Often placing the needs of her family before her own with her endless devotion to cooking and baking she believed that values were learned at home and mostly around the kitchen table. Jeanette was a woman of strong faith with a generous heart and ever growing prayer list that grounded and guided her through life. You could always count on her to say a prayer for you, greet you with a smile, or lend a helping hand to whomever she felt was in need. Those who knew Jeanette, know that she was an excellent conversationalist who was genuinely interested in the well-being of others connecting with them through her words of encouragement and engaging sense of humour. Her directions to her family came from a place of love and immense pride. We will miss her dearly and hear her words silently but we are comforted in knowing that she is now with dad lovingly directing our family clan. May she rest in peace after her decades of serving others and may the richness of her many shared gifts and blessings be bestowed upon us all.
