Peacefully, at home, on Wednesday, March 6, 2024, in her ninety-ninth year. Cherished wife of the late Sydney, who passed twenty years ago to the day. Beloved mother and mother-in-law of Roslyn Rabinovitch, Terry and Aron Steinman, and Marilyn and Eddie Iny. Adored Grandma of Daniel and Alyssa, Adam and Deborah, Robert and Marissa, Michael, and Laura and Daniel. Proud great-grandmother of Oliver, Julia, Evie, Noah, Maya, Max, Charlie, Asher, Preston, and Emma. Devoted sister and sister-in-law of Evelyn and the late Murray Martin, the late Estelle and the late Fred Chapnick; and sister-in-law of the late Ruth and the late Erwin Bodzy, the late Sadie and the late Abe Auerbach, and the late David Rabinovitch. Jean was the consummate matriarch and role model for her family. She will be deeply missed by her nieces, nephews, family, and all who knew her. Heartfelt gratitude to Luz, Beverly, Leoni, Ramona, and Delores for their unwavering care and compassion. Special thanks to Yaakov Salomon for his care. Funeral service from Paperman & Sons, 3888 Jean Talon St. W., on Sunday, March 10 at 12:00 noon. Burial at the Beth-El Congregation Section, Eternal Gardens Cemetery, Beaconsfield. Shiva at her home.
