In Loving Memory of Jean Mary Elizabeth Scagnetti ( Bertrand)
Jean Scagnetti (nee Bertrand), born on June 1, 1943 in Sudbury, Ontario, passed away peacefully at home February 17, 2024 at the age of 80.
Loving mother of Joseph (wife Manon), Michael (wife Charlene), James (wife Paula), Lisa
(husband Mike); and beloved grandmother of Jessica (fiancé John), Michael, Matthew, Kayla (fiancé Anthony), Curtis (fiancé Kennedy), Trever (fiancé Madison), Sydnée, and Sydney (Simon). Dear sister to Gilbert Bertrand predeceased (wife Carol) and Raymond Bertrand (wife Cheryl). Dear daughter of Joseph “Leo” Bertrand, and Ella Bertrand, both predeceased.
Jean was always keeping busy and started her career as a school bus driver, then a real estate agent until she bought a daycare centre in Sudbury. She loved working with children. Jean loved to spend time with friends and family, and was always the first to offer a helping hand when anyone needed it. After her retirement, she spent most winters travelling to the Dominican Republic until no longer able to travel. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
