EVANITSKI, Jason Julius (February 23, 1972 – April 21, 2023)
Passed away, peacefully, at the VON – Sakura House, Woodstock, surrounded by the love of his wife Lisa and family, following a courageous struggle with cancer, Jason Julius Evanitski of RR3 Tillsonburg at the age of 51 years. Born in Tillsonburg son of the late Alexander Evanitski (2022) and the late Cheryl “Lynn” (Tisdale) Evanitski (January 28, 2023).
Jason was amongst “the best” bulldozer and excavation operators. He was a dedicated employee of “Kirwin and Oatman”/ Tillsonburg for several years. Then an opportunity for Jason to join others from “Greenline Earthworks”/ Tillsonburg as a co-founder, partner and bulldozer operator even if the opportunity only lasted a short time because of Jason’s declining health.
Jason is survived by his loving wife Lisa (Jakucinskas) Evanitski and children: Sheridan Evanitski (Camron), Tillsonburg; Katelyn (Jarryd) Ray, Oshawa; and Jessica Evanitski, Woodstock and two grandchildren: Aislinn and Blake. Jason has two brothers Michael Evanitski (Rebecca Dietz), Courtland; and John Evanitski (Lauri), Saskatchewan. Loved son-in-law of Margaret Jakucinskas of Tillsonburg and the late Kris (2011). Jason will always be remembered as a special friend “because everyone loved Jason and he knew a lot of people.” Survived by aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. Survived by a brother-in-law Michael Jakucinskas (Annie) of Sault Ste. Marie.
Friends, neighbours, and relatives are invited to a Public Celebration of Jason’s Life on Saturday, April 29th, 2023, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at The Mill Restaurant, 20 John Pound Road, Tillsonburg. Everyone who knew Jason is invited to share favourite memories, photos, leave condolences, order flowers or contribute memorial donations to the “VON Oxford – Sakura House”, via Jason’s online tribute page at www.verhoevefuneralhomes.com or by contacting the Maurice J.
