It is with great sadness the family of Janice (Lord)
Sutherland announce her passing at the Saint John Regional Hospital,
Saint John, N.B. on Thursday, January 12, 2023.
Born in St. Stephen, N.B., daughter of the late Robert A. and
Marie (Flagg) Lord.
In the early years Janice worked with Girl Guides of Canada
and was also a member of UCW of Rolling Dam and Women’s
Institute. Janice enjoyed cooking for the church suppers in Rolling
Dam and selling tickets for the suppers. Janice enjoyed camping with
family and friends. Janice always had a house full of kids in her
babysitting years with up to 12 children in the summer months and on
holidays. Janice cherished her time with her two
granddaughters.
Janice is survived by her husband of 50 years, Blaine, sons,
Jeffery (Alicia) and Robert (Janice), two granddaughters, Casey Donna
and Chyler Dani, brother, Rodney Lord (Barb), nephews.
In addition to her parents, Janice was predeceased by her
daughter, Donna Lynn and her brother, Kirk Lord.
A graveside service will be held the Rolling Dam Cemetery,
Rolling Dam, N.B. on Saturday, April 29, 2023 at 1 PM.
Special thanks to Dr. Norman Lister and the staff at the
Saint John Regional Palliative Care Unit 3B North. Also special thanks
to our neighbor Natalie Olsen.

County Cancer Society, NB Heart & Stroke Foundation or a
charity of ones’ choice.
