Obituary
We are saddened to announce that our dear mother, Diane Dominie (Keating), sadly passed away on June 14, at the age of 76. She was a wonderful mother who was always there when we needed her the most, offering support and love in abundance. A friend to many, she was a cherished member of her community of Lockeport, leaving behind a legacy of kindness and strength.
Diane was raised in East Green Harbour, NS and then started her family there. She loved playing dice and going on drives with her best friends, Joyce and Susan. She also enjoyed watching all the wildlife that wandered into her yard.
She was predeceased by her loving husband (Carl Vincent Dominie), her Parents (Patrick and Ella Keating), her older brother (Jonathan Keating), Son (Baby Dominie), and Great-Granddaughter (Olivia Dominie).
She leaves behind her four children, Shelly Wills (Robert), Ben Dominie (Janet), Susan Stoddart (Frank), and Sandra Brown, sisters; Marilyn Fralic (Graham), Mary Enslow (Lionel). She also leaves behind 8 Grandchildren and 14 Great-Grandchildren and many nieces and nephews that she cherished dearly, along with countless friends who felt her warmth and generosity. She will be missed dearly by all who loved her.
Arrangements are under the care and direction of Huskilson’s Funeral Home, Lockeport. Visitation to be held Wednesday June 19th, 6:30-8pm at Lockeport Pentecostal Church. Funeral service to be held on Thursday, June 20th at 11am also at Lockeport Pentecostal Church. Burial will take place at Lockeport Cemetery immediately following the service. Reception to be held after burial at Lockeport Pentecostal Church.
Donations can be made to the Alzheimer Society of Nova Scotia or a charity of your choice.
