Obituary of Janet Maureen Barrow
Peacefully, at home, surrounded by the love of her family, on Wednesday, December 13, 2023, Janet Barrow passed away in her 78th year.
She is joining her late husband of 56 years, Jim Barrow.
Loving mother of Michele Barrow-Belisle (Michel Belisle) and Andrew (Tami) Barrow. Cherished Mamere of Ryan, Jazmyn, Brooklyn and Damon. Forever in the hearts of her brother in law, Telford Barrow, many nieces, nephews, extended family and lifelong friends.
She was predeceased by her siblings, and siblings-in-law.
Janet and Jim owned the Barrow by the Ponds Bed and Breakfast for over 10 years where they met special friends Barry & Cecile, and Ben and Iris, who became family. As a pair, they also hosted countless international students in their home, from various schools in the London area. Janet was a proud former President of The Congress of Black Women, Canada, London Chapter, and remained in close contact with dear friends Norma Chicoine and Janet Collins.
Cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held at Logan Funeral Home, 371 Dundas St., London, Ontario (between Colborne & Waterloo St.), on Tuesday, December 19, 2023 from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Memorial service will follow in the Logan Chapel at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. Kate Hathaway officiating.
Those who wish to make memorial donations in Janet’s name are asked to consider the McCormick Dementia Services, McCormick Home, London. Online condolences can be expressed at www.loganfh.ca
A tree will be planted by the staff of the LOGAN FUNERAL HOME as a living memorial to Janet.
