Peacefully at Burloak Long-term Care in Burlington on Tuesday September 20, 2023, at the age of 87. Beloved wife of the late Robert Alexander. Loving mother of Jill (Richard) Black and Todd Alexander.
Mom was very creative. For example, our Halloween costumes she sewed, our easter egg hunts and especially Christmas mornings. Our childhood was filled with magic.
Mom loved having her dogs around her, Lucas, Shelby and Lusy. She enjoyed taking them for a swim in the pool and sharing a bit of her tea and cookies with them.
Mom was a lifelong Toronto Maple Leafs fan and loved going to opening night games to hear the pipers play The Maple Leaf Forever. She loved to remember the night she was in the stands when the Toronto Blue Jays won their first World Series.
Mom was a longtime member of Weston Golf and Country Club. She would be out of the house early every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday to make her 8:04 am tee time.
We will miss her deeply, but she will be in our hearts forever.
Thank you to all the staff at Burloak Long-term Care and especially the nurses and PSWs of Breckon House for providing a safe and caring residence for Mom.
A private, immediate family service has already taken place.
