NASURICK, James William ‘Jim’ (Long Time Truck Driver): Suddenly at Peterborough Regional Health Centre with family by his side on Thursday, February 8, 2024 in his 76th year. Jim, beloved husband of twenty-five years to Mary (nee Price). Father of Tracey Blackburn (Scott, predeceased), Jamie, and Benj Nasurick, Kelly Saltern (Kevin), and Wendy Howden. Cherished Grandfather of Madison, Nathan, Dillion, Titianna, predeceased, Caleb, and Jackson. Dear brother of Ed (Helen), the Kathleen Nasurick, and brother-in-law of Bryan Faul (Erna), Elaine Peters (Wayne), and Dave White (Brenda, predeceased). Son of the late John and Sophie Nasurick. Jim will be dearly missed by his friends and neighbours at 1601 Park Tower. For many years Jim drove truck for Sobey’s, and Country Style and in recent years could be found throughout the city on his scooter. Jim loved the outdoors and was happiest when canoeing, camping at Six Mile Lake, boating, or at his trailer on Georgian Bay. He also had a love for motorcyles and was always up for an adventure with his grandchildren who will miss him dearly. In keeping with Jim’s wishes, he will be cremated and a celebration of his life will take place at a later time. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by his family.
