Obituary of James Kellock
KELLOCK, James – Passed away peacefully with his family by his side on Saturday, July 8, 2023. He will be forever missed by his loving wife Mary, and is now reunited with sister Robina (Ruby) and son James «Jimmy». Cherished by his children Stewart (Shelley) and Lynn (Donald). Adoring grandfather to Bradley (Jenny) and Scott. James will be held dear in the hearts of his family, relatives, and many friends.
James enjoyed a long retirement after a thirty five year career in policing with the OPP and Class #1 of the Metropolitan Toronto Police Force. He enjoyed his time at the cottage immensely, both on and off Shadow Lake and his numerous little projects involving gardening and woodworking.
Friends are invited to gather on Saturday, July 15th, 2023 for a Memorial visitation at the Dixon-Garland Funeral Home, 166 Main Street North, Markham, (905) 294-2030 from 11 am until service time in the Dixon-Garland Chapel at 12 o’clock. A light luncheon will follow in the Funeral Home Reception Room.
The family would like to thank Dr. Trinkaus and the team at Markham Stouffville Hospital for all the care James received over the last few years.
If desired, donations in James’ memory may be made to St. John Ambulance (York Region) and would be appreciated by the family.
