In memory of James Haddow Fitzpatrick
November 13th, 1970 – November 28th, 2024
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of James Haddow Fitzpatrick, a beloved father, son, grandson, brother, uncle and friend. He was 54 years old, residing in Cambridge, Ontario when he left us on November 28th, 2024, after a heroic 8-year long battle with cancer.
James, known affectionately as Jim, was the devoted father of Brianna Fitzpatrick, Layla Fitzpatrick (Bryan) and faithful four-legged companion Mya. His two daughters were the light of his life and the joy of his years. Jim took great pride in being their father, nurturing their dreams and supporting them unconditionally. His love for his daughters was unwavering, and he instilled in them the values of strength, resilience, independence and compassion. Jim was a loving son, born to Patricia Fitzpatrick (Fred) and Jim Haddow (predeceased). A trusting and protecting brother to Cindy Ritchie (Jeremy) and a very proud uncle to Josh, Hannah and Taylor Ritchie. James is predeceased by his loving grandparents Robert and Leona Delroy (Ma and Pa), as well as Russ and Olive Haddow whom he cherished deeply and always spoke lovingly of.
James was known and loved by many whom he crossed paths with during his lifetime. Many would say James was a courageous, independent man that lived his truth boldly. A man of extraordinary strength, James faced his battle with cancer much like he lived his life – with courage and a powerful will to live. His determination inspired not only his family and friends but everyone who was privileged to witness his journey. Even during the most challenging times, Jim maintained a sense of humor and optimism that never waned. leaving a mark of inspiration and hope that we will deeply cherish and miss.
