It is with broken hearts that the family of Jim Hodder of Creston South announce his passing at the Blue Crest Interfaith Home in Grand Bank on Thursday, May 30, 2024 at the age of 79.
Leaving to mourn with many cherished memories are his children, Judy (Roy) Hillier of Winterland, Janice (Rick) Bolt of Rothesay, NB and Jeff (Michelle) Hodder of Creston; grandchildren, Robyn (Steven), Kirby (Bradley), Jordan, Devin (Emma), Hayden (Ashley) and Haley; great grandchildren, Jordan, Grayson, Lincoln and Brady; sisters, Anne (Derm) Barry of Creston; brothers, George (Elizabeth) Hodder of Creston and Calvin (Christina) Hodder of Creston; sister-in-law, Holly (Ken) Ferguson of Whitby, ON; brothers-in-law, Captain Randy (Diane) Kirby of Seal Cove, Melvin (Madeline) Kirby of Burin, Mike Bilous of Salisbury, NB and brother-in-law Cyril Green of Lewin`s Cove; special friend Beulah Emberley at the Blue Crest Interfaith Home; and a large circle of extended family and friends.
Jim was predeceased by his wife, Joan Hodder; parents, Donald and Jessie Hodder; parents-in-law, Leonard and Lillian Kirby; siblings, Selena, Levi, Judy Diane, Clarence, Alice and sister-in-law, Yvonne Green.
Resting and visitation will take place from Peninsula Funeral Home on:
Friday, May 31st, 2024 at
2:00pm to 4:00pm
7:00pm to 9:00pm
and
Saturday, June 1st, 2024 at
10:00am to 12:00pm
2:00pm to 4:00pm
7:00pm to 9:00pm
Funeral Service to take place at The Salvation Army Faith and Hope Corps in Creston South on Sunday, June 2nd, 2024 at 2:00pm. Interment to follow at the Salvation Army Cemetery, Creston South.
Donations in Jim`s memory may be made to the Blue Crest Resident Bus Campaign or the Salvation Army Cemetery Fund.
