It is with broken hearts that the family of the late James H Farewell of Marystown announces his passing. James passed away at the Burin Peninsula Health Care Centre in Burin on Wednesday, March 1st, 2023, at the age of 73. Leaving to mourn with a lifetime of wonderful memories are his wife of 28 years, Goldie; daughters, Angie Walsh of Marystown, Ashley Miller (Edward) of Creston South, Amy Drake of Grand Bank; 6 grandchildren, April Antle, Dana Miller (Shannon Curtis), Lucas Walsh, Bobbi-Lee Walsh, Jimmy Moores and Justin Butler; sisters, Linda Ceasar (Calvin) of Burin, Margaret Walsh (Angus) of Creston South, Jenny Hodder (Eugene) of Creston South, Ruby Moulton (Sandy) of Creston South, Beulah Mitchell (Mike) of Creston South; brothers, Melvin Farewell (Ella) of Creston South, Ivan Farewell of Creston South, Guy Farewell of Creston South, Frederick Farewell (Fronie) of Creston South; sisters-in-law, Betty Farewell of Terrenceville, Daisy Abbott of Port au Bras; brother-in-law Carl Emberley of Creston North; long time friend and brother-in-law Gary Abbott (Hope) of St. John’s; plus a large circle of extended family and friends.
James was predeceased by his parents Samuel and Ella Farewell; parents-in-law Ernest and Annie Abbott, brothers, Ray and Joseph Farewell, sister Frances Emberley, long time friend and brother-in-law James Abbott; sister-in-law Gladys Farewell; nephews, Kenneth Farewell and Scott Hodder; nieces, Krista Walsh and Sonya Strowbridge.

A Funeral Service of Remembrance for James will take place at Calvary United Church, Creston South, on Monday, March 6th, 2023 at 2:00 pm. Interment to follow at Calvary United Church Cemetery.
