Plein, James Andrew
Passed away peacefully on Monday, May 1, 2023 at St. Mary’s Hospital, Kitchener at the age of 61 years.
Loving son of Adolph and step-son of Pola Plein. Brother of Bryan Plein. Predeceased by his mother Barbara Plein (2008), and step-sister Iwona (1995). James will be missed by the Plein families, his friends and all who knew him.
James was a lover of bird watching, playing and listening to music, and completing word searches. James was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 469 Elmira for many years.
Cremation has taken place. A celebration of life will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday May 28, 2023 at the Royal Canadian Legion, 11 First St. E., Elmira, with a time of fellowship and refreshments to follow.
As expressions of sympathy, donations to Elmira District Community Living would be appreciated and may be made through the Dreisinger Funeral Home.
A special thank you to the staff of Elmira District Community Living for taking good care of James over the years. The family extends a thank you to the doctors and nurses at St. Mary’s ICU for making James comfortable during his final days.
