Obituary
After a long courageous battle with cancer, Jackie Miller passed away on Sunday, January 22, 2023 at the age of 58 years.
Jackie will be lovingly remembered by his sons Chris (Katherine) and Robbie; daughter Amy, granddaughter Camille; mothers of his children Darlene and Rebecca; mother Helen Miller; brother Eddie (Kim) Miller; sister Brenda (Leroy) Miller-Adams; along with numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his father Jack Miller.
Jackie was born on May 29, 1964, to Jack and Helen Miller. In his early years he lived in Portage la Prairie and attended Fort la Reine, Yellowquill and Arthur Meighen schools. After school he resided in Brandon and Winnipeg where he pursued his career as a painter. He was a hard worker who loved to fix anything, a Jack-of-all-trades. Jackie was a very proud father, he enjoyed spending time with family and his special kitties, Rusty and Kitty Miller.
A Celebration of Jackie’s life will be held at McKenzies Portage Funeral Chapel on Saturday January 28, 2023 at 1:00 pm. Interment will take place at Hillside Cemetery.
Memorial donations in Jackie’s memory may be made Portage Animal Welfare Society (PAWS), 121 12th St. NE, Portage la Prairie, MB, R1N 4A2.
