Hewton, Jackie Ruth (nee Carpenter)
Passed away at home in Georgian Bluffs, on Friday, May 19, 2023, at the age of 54.
Beloved partner-in-life of Allan Spry. Cherished mother of Christopher Hewton (Brittany) of Owen Sound, and Mark Hewton (Courtney) of Lion’s Head; as well as Al’s extended family, stepchildren, Zachary Spry (Lindsey) of Walkerton, Braydan Spry (Danielle) of Sudbury, and Morgan Spry (James) of Elliott Lake. Loving ‘Nana’ of Sophie, Rosie, Kinsley, Wyatt and Adrian. Dear ‘baby sister’ of blended families (the Carpenter’s), sister Johnna-Lee Carpenter (Herb), and brother Ray Carpenter, (and the Brown’s), brother Dave Brown, sister Bev Brown-Cameron (Rod), sister Vicki Brown-Doubt (Jim), brother Jack ‘Sam’ Brown (Linda), and sister Donna Lynn Brown-Urbshott (Rodger). Predeceased by her father John Carpenter (Marilyn) in 2001, and her mother Edna Down-Brown (Jack) in 1999. She will be missed by her faithful and loving canine companion ‘Bear’.
Jackie loved everything ‘outdoors’ as well as animals, snowmobiling, 4 wheeling, camping, fishing, backyard campfires, family picnics, but most especially, her adorable and much-loved grand babies.
Cremation has taken place, and in respect of her wishes, there will be a Celebration-of-Life at a later date, as well as a private family graveside committal in Waterdown, Ontario, where Jackie wished to be interred close to her beloved mother.
In lieu of flowers, and if you wish, memorial donations to any outdoor environmental or conservation cause, or any animal rescue cause of your choice would be appreciated by the family and would probably have dear Jackie smiling from above.
