At Stratford General Hospital on July 3, 2023 peacefully with his family by his side John (Jack) Allen Armstrong passed at the age of 80. Beloved wife and best friend of Patricia (Medd) for 59 years. Dear Dad of Cheryl Hesselwood (Brad); Kevin (Kim) and Rob (Michelle). Adored Gramps of Chelsea Dawe (Cory); John Armstrong (Katie Clarke); Claire Hesselwood and Samantha Armstrong (Will Reinhardt). Great Grandpa Jack of Hadley & Ryan Dawe and Nash Reinhardt.Fondly remembered by his siblings Doug (Joyce); Merle (Bill) Stanbury; Raye (Dianne); Mary (Ron) Kovacs and Fred (Carol). Brother-in-law of Margaret Medd; Marj (Jim) Hardy; Morris (Beckie) Medd; Sharon Medd and Denis Medd (Marg Miller).Predeceased by his parents Allen & Margaret (Broadfoot) Armstrong; in-laws Lloyd & Elizabeth Medd; Bill Medd; Anna & Mike Laudenbach, Marilyn & Joe Williams and Leo Medd.Favourite Uncle of many nieces and nephews and cousins. Specially remembered by the Wise family.
Beyond the love of his family, Jack had a passion for outdoor adventures, snowmobiling, four-wheeling and 50 years of father/son fishing trips which left for many great stories. Jack was a true community fellow and friend at heart, Clinton Legion Member and Lifetime Clinton Optimist Member and the Oldtimers Ball Team but foremost his love of entertaining family and friends. Many will miss his humorous yet charming wit.
Jack’s hard work growing up on the Goshen farm led to his expertise in agriculture where he spent over 50 years with T.B. Allen/Hensall Co-op. He brought his love of farming to town as shown with his impeccable attention to detail and his perfect lawn.
Jack had shown his strength, determination and courage through the last 7 years to overcome many health obstacles. He continued to remain strong and leave lasting memories with his family and friends.
Donations in Jack’s memory to the Clinton Public Hospital, a charity of one’s choice or the simple act of a good deed.

Funeral Mass to be held at St. Peters Catholic Church, Goderich ON at 11am Friday July 7, 2023 followed by a Celebration of Life until 4pm at the Knights of Columbus Hall, Goderich.
