Peacefully at the Temiskaming Hospital on Sunday April 14th, 2024, Ivan Ovila Gervais of North Cobalt passed away at the age of 74 surrounded by his beloved family. Loving husband of the late Debra Gervais (nee Sylvester). Beloved father of Angela (Paul) Browne, Kris (Jen) Gervais, Tina (Jeff) Renaud, and the late Dena Little. Sadly missed by his son in-law Nick Little. Dearly missed by his grandchildren Emma, Austin, Grace, Darian, Jayda, Aiden, Alexandra, Abigail, Emma, and Lauren. Ivan was born in New Liskeard to the late Leo Gervais, and the late Valeda Blaine. Dear brother of the late Marcel (Heather) Gervais, Suzanne Gervais, Nicole (Kelly) Murphy, and Francine Bumstead. Also to mourn, his dear sister in-law Wendy (Gilbert) Sauve, brother in-law Hal (Val) Sylvester, brother in-law Kevin (Kim) Murphy, and the late Michael Sylvester. Forever remembered by many nephews, nieces, and extended family members, and friends.
Special thank you to Dr. Goddard, Dr. Logan, and Dr. Desilets for the exceptional care they provided to Ivan. In addition, a huge thank you to Home and Community Care Support Services for supporting Ivan at home.
Cremation has taken place at Lakeview Crematorium, Haileybury. A celebration of life will take place at a later date. Arrangements entrusted to Buffam Leveille Funeral Home, Haileybury Location, 705-672-3122.
