Olive Ivadell Crane (Quinton)
Ivadell passed away peacefully at Dufferin Oaks, Shelburne on June 7th, 2023. Ivadell with her husband Laverne owned and operated Crane’s Bakery in Grand Valley for almost 30 years. Together, they raised four children. Lovingly remembered by Jerry (Annie) Crane, Barbara (Jim 2023) Beckett, Debbie (Ron) Lomas, & Randy (Janice) Crane. She was blessed with grandchildren Deborah (Shayne), Derek (Jen), Ryan, Chris (Julie), Cole (Hannah) & Brent (Erika) & 7 great grandchildren. Ivadell is survived by her brother Gord and many nieces and nephews. Ivadell was predeceased by her parents Lillie & Sam and her husband Laverne. Ivadell had a strong work ethic and a competitive spirit. She enjoyed nothing better than a good game of bridge, crib or euchre. She also loved to knit. The family would like to sincerely thank the staff of Dufferin Oaks for their kind and compassionate care. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to the Orangeville Seniors Centre or a Charity of your choice.
Funeral Service will be held at the Dods & McNair Funeral Home, Chapel & Reception Centre 21 First St. Orangeville on Sunday June 11th, 2023 at 1:00 pm, with visitation beginning at 12:00 pm. Interment – Union Cemetery, Grand Valley. Condolences may be offered to the family at www.dodsandmcnair.com
A tree will be planted in memory of Ivadell in the Dods & McNair Memorial Forest at the Island Lake Conservation Area, Orangeville. 21st Annual Dedication Service will be held on Sunday, September 10, 2023 at 2:00 p.m.
