It is with great sadness that the family of Yitz (Issie) Granovsky z”l announces his passing, on Saturday, March 23, 2024, at the age of ninety-four. Predeceased by his adored and adoring wife, Sharona (nèe Shirley Karmos). Devoted and loving father and father-in-law of Rudy (Ruth) and France, Tamar and Steve. Dear brother and brother-in-law of David and Minnie Granofsky, Sheila Sidline, the late Lucy and the late Sidney Lerner; and brother-in-law of the late Hilda and the late Max Itzkowitz. Beloved uncle and cousin to many. Yitz was blessed with a gentle and generous disposition, a good heart and brimmed with love and laughter. He loved music and photography and so much more. Simply put, Yitz led a rich and full life and was fortunate to have many lifelong friends who were truly family to him. He will be greatly missed. The family would like to acknowledge the entire staff of 5K at the Kastner Pavilion of the Jewish Eldercare Centre for their exceptional and kind care and for looking out for Issie these last three years. Graveside service on Tuesday, March 26 at 1:00 p.m. at the Farband Labour Zionist Organization Section, Kehal Israel Cemetery, D.D.O. Shiva strictly private.
